My two cents on this after looking at the pictures in detail:
- Not using the underfloor space is a problem I think. The rear edge of the pod sits over the rear storage bin, so it's completely inaccessible. You'll have to pull out the pod completely to actually get to it, which is probably not very feasible during an active camping trip where the pod might be loaded up with things.
- The luggage tie-downs in the boot are actually on the lid of the rear storage bin (the one being blocked now), and that lid is quite light and not-strong. Tying something to the tie-downs will either lift up the lid, or it will rip out the hooks if enough force is used. Those hooks are intended to be used with the cargo net, strapping your shopping down on top of the lid.
It's probably going to be better to remove the false floor in the boot, and all the bin inserts, and re-engineer a way to tie the pod down. It seems like it's sliding on those aluminium rails, so in theory it could be left floating above a very large empty space that could be used for more storage. If you get special flat tanks they can even go there (underneath the pod), and then you have lots of storage behind the seats for luggage and whatnot.
Lastly, it's about EUR5,000 including the bed and some extras. That's more than 10% the value of the van which is a little bit steep.
